2019 IEEE EMC Symposium New Orleans Recap

The IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, SI & PI Symposium is a traveling show that is held annually. This year it was held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. There was bit of a scare with Hurricane Barry hitting the area the week before but fortunately there was no major damage. The Symposium week is always a busy one for us and the 2019 Symposium was no exception. We kicked off the week with the IEEE EMC Young Professionals Event on Monday 7/22  where aspiring engineers played “EMC Jeopardy” against industry experts. On Tuesday 7/23 Robert Carter (VP of Business Development and Technology, Oak-Mitsui Technologies) presented  “Power Noise and EMI Mitigation Using High-Dk Embedded Capacitance Layers”. Quite a few engineers stayed to ask Bob questions on the topic.

There were many engineers that were great sports to snap photos with me! It was not until the last few pictures I took where I realized the right way to wear my mask, oh well. Great energy and the EMC Symposium is a great way to reconnect with engineers we work with and meet new people that are interested in FaradFlex™.
